Term of use

Last updated 15 August 2026

1. Agreement

These terms govern your use of Memoira, including memoira.my, related subdomains, and the digital invitation and invitation-video services we provide. By creating an account, purchasing a plan, or using Memoira, you agree to these terms.

If you use Memoira on behalf of someone else, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for them.

2. Who we are

Memoira is operated from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The public site is memoira.my. Our Privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.

3. The service

Memoira currently offers:

  • Digital invitations that you can build, preview, pay for, publish, and manage for wedding events.
  • Personalized guest links, RSVP, wishes, contacts, gifts, and a live Guest Photo Gallery on published invitations.
  • Invitation videos you can preview and, with the right plan, generate as portrait MP4 files.
  • A printable A5 PDF preview, with download available on published Pro invitations.

A published invitation stays live for one year from its publish date. Drafts and previews are not a public invitation until you purchase an eligible plan and publish.

4. Accounts

You may sign up with email and password or Google. Before using the dashboard you must complete your profile. You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for activity on your account.

Guests who open a published invitation do not need a Memoira account.

5. Plans and payments

Digital invitations are sold as one-time plans: Basic and Pro, with an optional Pro upgrade from Basic. Invitation videos may be purchased as a standalone video plan or generated from a Pro invitation. Amounts are shown in Malaysian Ringgit at checkout.

Payments are processed by HitPay. We record transaction state so we can unlock the matching entitlement. Taxes, bank, or payment-provider fees may apply according to HitPay and your payment method.

Purchases unlock the features of that plan. They are not a subscription unless we later say otherwise at checkout. Video generation is limited as shown in the product. Failed generations restore that attempt.

6. Publishing and public links

You choose a public invitation URL on a Memoira subdomain. While an invitation is published, that slug stays fixed. Unpublish it before changing the slug.

You are responsible for the content you publish and for the guest information you collect. Do not publish content you do not have the right to use, and do not use Memoira for unlawful, harmful, or misleading invitations.

7. Your content

You keep the rights in the text, photos, and other materials you upload. You grant Memoira a licence to host, display, and process that content so we can provide the service, including public invitation pages, previews, PDFs, and rendered videos.

You can soft-delete invitations and videos from your dashboard. Deleted items are removed from host lists and public access; we may retain records needed for payments, security, or law.

8. Guest interactions

If you enable RSVP, wishes, or the Guest Photo Gallery, guests may submit names, contact details, messages, and photos. You are the party collecting that information from your guests. Use it only for the event and in line with applicable law, including Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act.

You can hide wishes from public view. Photo uploads follow the limits and opening time configured on the invitation.

9. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Try to access another host’s account, invitations, or data.
  • Interfere with the service, scrape it abusively, or overload it.
  • Upload malware or content that is illegal, hateful, or sexually exploitative.
  • Use Memoira to send spam. Memoira does not provide bulk email, SMS, or WhatsApp sending.
  • Resell the service or present it as your own platform without our permission.

10. Availability

We aim to keep Memoira available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Features, templates, and plan details may change. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms or if we must do so for security or legal reasons.

11. Liability

Memoira is provided as is. To the extent allowed by Malaysian law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits, or event outcomes. Our total liability for a claim relating to a paid plan is limited to the amount you paid us for that plan.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Courts in Malaysia have jurisdiction over disputes, without limiting any non-waivable consumer rights you may have.
